Expenses
The pump counter is not what you paid.
Look for the labeled sale or purchase amount, not the largest number. Quantity and unit price can support a reasonableness check, while pump counters, tax IDs and receipt numbers must remain separate.

Check the tool’s supported inputs and limits before uploading. Account and plan requirements may apply. See plans.
What if quantity times rate differs slightly?
Check rounding and the printed sale amount. Use multiplication to flag a suspicious reading, not to override a legitimate printed total automatically.
How WorkSpotHQ helps
Receipt Processor
In Receipt Processor, add the receipt and choose Process receipt. Compare the editable details with the image. Use Adjust crop if the edges are wrong, or Re-read automatically if another reading is needed. Choose Save to My Receipts after checking the values; use Send now only after reviewing the report and recipients.
Your next steps
- Locate the sale amount and currency.
- Check litres or gallons and the unit rate.
- Ignore cumulative volume and amount counters as purchase totals.
- Verify date, merchant and receipt number against the original.
What this looks like in practice
Illustrative receipt: 40.49 litres at ₹98.79 per litre is approximately ₹4,000. A cumulative pump amount of millions of rupees is not your purchase.
A fictional fuel receipt: label before magnitude
| Item | Value or document | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Sale | ₹4,000.00 | Purchase amount |
| Volume | 40.49 L | Quantity, not money |
| Rate | ₹98.79/L | Unit price |
| Cumulative amount counter | ₹36,473,023.61 | Pump history, not this purchase |
40.49 × 98.79 = 4,000.0071. That supports a purchase near ₹4,000, but the displayed quantity and rate may be rounded. Preserve the printed sale amount rather than silently recalculating it.

Before you call it done
Displayed quantity and rate may be rounded. A small arithmetic difference is not permission to overwrite the printed amount.
