Scanning

The camera is not opening. You can still get the document scanned.

Check site permissions and the operating system’s camera access for your browser. If access was previously denied, the browser may not ask again. You can also take a photo with your device’s camera app and upload it.

Put the answer to work

Check the tool’s supported inputs and limits before uploading. Account and plan requirements may apply. See plans.

Do I need to keep troubleshooting?

No. If you already have a readable photograph, upload it and finish the task. Camera permissions are relevant only if you need live capture.

How WorkSpotHQ helps

WorkSpot Scan

In WorkSpot Scan, add the document, then choose Clean and straighten. For a photo with incorrect edges, use Adjust the four corners myself. In Review your scan, compare Original and Processed before choosing Download JPG or Download PDF.

Your next steps

  1. Check the camera permission in the browser’s site controls.
  2. Check operating-system privacy settings for the browser.
  3. Close another app using the camera, then retry the page.
  4. If capture remains unavailable, upload an existing photo and continue.

What this looks like in practice

A laptop with a working webcam can still block a site at the browser or operating-system level. Permission at one level does not necessarily enable the other.

Illustrative guidance, not a measured accuracy result or a guarantee for every document.

Before you call it done

Only grant access on a site you trust. A file picker is not proof that live camera access is supported in that browser. Do not weaken unrelated privacy settings.
