Expenses
Give your accountant evidence, not a guessing game.
Follow the accountant’s requested format and reporting period. Include source documents, checked exports and notes on unresolved items. Do not silently force unclear values to make totals match.
Put the answer to work
Check the tool’s supported inputs and limits before uploading. Account and plan requirements may apply. See plans.
What should remain unresolved?
Anything the evidence does not establish. A clear note about an unreadable receipt or ambiguous deposit is preferable to a fabricated classification that hides the problem.
How WorkSpotHQ helps
Receipt Processor
In Receipt Processor, add the receipt and choose Process receipt. Compare the editable details with the image. Use Adjust crop if the edges are wrong, or Re-read automatically if another reading is needed. Choose Save to My Receipts after checking the values; use Send now only after reviewing the report and recipients.
Bank Statement → Excel
Use Bank Statement to Excel with the complete statement. Open the resulting workbook and compare the transaction rows with the PDF. Investigate missing rows and debit/credit differences before importing the data elsewhere.
Your next steps
- Confirm the requested period, format and naming convention.
- Group receipts and statements by that period.
- Check exports against source documents.
- Flag refunds, missing evidence and unresolved amounts explicitly.
What this looks like in practice
A short note saying ‘hotel deposit included in final folio; do not count twice’ is more useful than two unexplained totals.
Illustrative guidance, not a measured accuracy result or a guarantee for every document.
Before you call it done
Extraction does not establish deductibility, tax compliance or audit approval. Your accountant determines the appropriate treatment.
